#1904, Never Forgotten

On October 14th, 2017, the Will County Sheriff's Office lost a friend and brother, Correctional Deputy Kevin Brewer. Deputy Brewer suffered a fatal heart attack after responding to multiple incidents inside the Will County Adult Detention Facility.

Deputy Brewer, a member of the ADF’s Emergency Response Team, had responded to several incidents during his shift. At approximately 8:30pm, Kevin was found unresponsive in the booking area of the facility. Other officers immediately began CPR, and he was subsequently transported to St. Joseph Medical Center where he passed a short time later.

Deputy Brewer had served with the Will County Sheriff's Office for 10 years and is survived by his wife and three children.

On this, the sixth anniversary of Kevin’s passing, we remember the caring and laughter he brought to everyone around him and urge you to continue to keep his family, friends, and co-workers in your thoughts.
