The FOP4Kids School Supply Giveaway is an annual community outreach initiative organized by Will County Sheriff FOP Lodge #94 as part of our broader FOP4Kids program, which aims to connect with and support children in local communities by providing essential resources and fostering positive relationships with law enforcement. Launched in 2022, the giveaway distributes school supplies such as notebooks, pencils, folders, and other commonly required items from local school lists to children in grades K-8 on a first-come, first-served basis, with no registration required, helping to alleviate financial burdens on Will County families as they prepare for the new school year. Our event is typically held in early August at the Will County Office Building in Joliet and has grown significantly over the years. Our inaugural 2022 giveaway provided over 500 bags of supplies directly to children and additional deliveries to local schools in the following week, while subsequent years have seen the program expand to distribute over 3,000 bags in total across the first four events, thanks to the dedication of our lodge members and generous contributions from sponsors.
